Accelerate Prosperity is the global initiative of the Aga Khan Development Network (AKDN) in Central and South Asia. Our goal: to support the development of growing small and medium-sized businesses with a special focus on women and youth in remote regions.

After that, the business grows and develops, and the accelerator gets the opportunity to influence the management of the company. Accelerators make money by taking a stake in a company and then selling that stake. For example, the accelerator invested $50,000 and received a 10% stake in Business N. Business N grew to become a significant player in the market. A large corporation decided to buy this startup for $1 million. In this case, the accelerator receives 10% of the purchase amount - $100,000.

Investment is the placement of capital for the purpose of making a profit. An investor invests money or other capital in a business in order not only to return the investment, but also to earn. If the loan and interest must be repaid within the agreed timeframe, regardless of the profitability of the project, then the investments are returned and generate income only in profitable projects.

1. Enterprises and companies from various fields of activity. The priority is enterprises from the light industry, manufacturing sector, agriculture, tourism, information technology, education, and the manufacturing sector.
2. Companies that have confirmed annual revenues of at least 350,000 KGS.
3. Companies that have worked in the target region for at least one year.

Priority is given to enterprises run by young people under 29 or women. But age and gender are not decisive factors in making a decision. Creation of jobs for youth and women, as well as business prospects are the main indicators that the commission pays attention to.
