Kyrgyz startups in the field of green technologies can receive up to $50,000 of investments
Bishkek, January 29. Investment business accelerator Accelerate Prosperity (AP) will launch today a program for "green" enterprises - Go Green Acceleration under the project "Accelerate Prosperity ASIA", jointly funded by the European Union and the Aga Khan Foundation.
The Go Green Acceleration Program is focused on transforming the field of green and sustainable technologies by supporting innovative startups, small and medium-sized enterprises. It is designed to support entrepreneurs aiming to create a positive environmental impact and contribute to economic growth and prosperity in the country.
"This is not the first year we have been supporting Accelerate Prosperity's acceleration programs and this acceleration is special, as projects aimed at resource conservation, food security and environmental solutions are very important for the country's economy," said Stefano Corrado, project manager of the European Union in Kyrgyzstan, at the opening of the program.
As part of the acceleration, participants are expected to attend fascinating lectures by experienced specialists:
- Sergey Dolzhenkov - "8 steps of managerial mastery";
- Valery Grishin - "Identifying the target audience and formulating a value proposition;
- Talant Jumazayev - "Marketing and sales for managers".
Companies specializing in green technology and green services were invited to participate in the Go Green Acceleration program. Companies seeking to incorporate green technologies into their operations were also welcomed: glass recycling, bottle remelting, aesthetically pleasing serving plates, lignite fertilizer production, wastewater treatment plant design and construction, tire recycling, crumb rubber production, and many others.
This accelerator program includes personalized work of entrepreneurs with business trackers and consultations with experienced professionals, access to investment opportunities and training on aspects of sustainable business. Program participants will also receive one-on-one guidance from industry professionals to help them overcome challenges and unlock their potential for success. Participants will also have the opportunity to participate in workshops, webinars, and utilize resources on sustainable business practices that promote sustainable and environmentally responsible businesses.
In addition, the acceleration program offers participants the opportunity to receive investment funding of up to $50,000 through pitching (presentation of their business projects) to an investment committee. After passing due diligence, the winners will receive funds to develop their business.
Business accelerator is implemented within AP ASIA project and co-financed by European Union and Aga Khan Foundation. The project aims at developing entrepreneurial activity and increasing the economic well-being of the population of the Kyrgyz Republic.
